We had very good weather for our “jaunt” to Doi Pa Kha and back, overcast as good protection from the sun while we sat on top and yet clear views except for a few minutes when clouds moved in below us. The trail was damp from recent rains but not muddy, and less slippery than it was in dry conditions. The group was very congenial, but there were only 6 of us, so we had to pay 200 bht. each for the song tao round trip. Two of our hikers were first time with the group and one a returnee from many months ago. We found the alternate trail from the top which we had taken last time was overgrown, but did take the next alternate route and the another short-cu t which I had tried on our last tip to Doi Pa Kha. There are a couple trails off the main one which could do with some exploring in the future.
