We were pleased to have a whole family with 3 children on the hike to Op Khan as well as a couple visiting from Taiwan and many repeat hikers, making a total of 13. Our meeting place at the art museum parking lot seemed a good choice and we had the right number of cars with room for all. The drive from meeting point to starting point was actually almost 30 km., much more than the estimate. The weather was a bit hot and humid, but no rain, and we all enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the challenge of crossing 9 noticeable ravines and some tricky footing. Because of much rain during the past week the river was quite a bit higher and running faster than when we looked at the trail 12 days ago. A good hike!
