Meet at the Arboretum at 8:30am. Drive up to starting point (approx 30 minutes drive). Steep climb up the ridge. Should take about 3 hours, walk length about 8Km in total.
We park near the Blue pin, walk up the ridge to Princess Sala (near 1600m contour) then 2Km down the next ridge and back. Very nice views out over the valley, weather allowing.
5 turned up, Anders was kind enough to drive us all up. One found the trail too hard early on, and turned back to visit the village. The rest of us went way too far, all the way to the Buddha’s footprint and back, 11.5Km. Perfect weather on the ridge for walking, but smog obscured the views.
We all met back up and finished off with coffee at the new coffee shop near the Mong tourist village.
Gps track of our hike, with photos
