Meet at Arboretum car park (top of Huay Keow road before zoo) 8:00am. Drive up to the old Mong Village, park and walk along the ridge, past the Princess Sala then over to the Buddha’s footprint. 12Km for the return journey taking about 4 hours. Beautiful views from the ridge, if the weather allows, mainly through pine forest. Very steep, if you aren’t fit, you won’t make it.

We drove up to the Mong Tourist Village to leave one motorcycle, before driving to the Chang Kian Mong Village start point. Start at one village, end at the other. Big filming event with full crew at the Sukura trees, but all the blossom was washed off in the rain last night so they missed it. Really nice cool weather for the walk, big forestry crew clearing the paths around Doi Pui. Good views today, as the rain removed a lot of the haze.
