Group meeting.

Group meeting.

With 25 people and two dogs, quite a large group of hikers met at the Arboretum for the hike on Sunday, August 25th. We shared cars and motorbikes to go up to Doi Pui Village . One car had a small problem with the coolant and had to refill some water to continue it’s way up.

We started the hike at around 9:00 am with amazingly nice weather conditions — no rain and a fresh, chilly breeze. First we walked slowly along the first easy trail before we started hiking uphill to the Sala where we stopped for a short break.

Short break.

A slightly misunderstood joke from the Hiking leader about rain  prompted some of us to resume the hike rather swiftly. We walked downhill for about 1.5/2 hours and had another break of 10/15 minutes at the valley floor.

Afterwards we started our uphill migration with fantastic views some Banana and young, big bamboo trees along the way.

The first group was back at Baan Doi Pui after around 4 hours 20 minutes and the last group arrived after roughly 5 hours . Afterwards we had lunch/drinks at different places in the village.

Thanks for the interest to join and making this a wonderful Sunday experience !
