31 hikers arrived on a beautiful Sunday morning at our meeting point. We left with cars/motorbikes around 7:40 am and met 2 more hikers on our way, one at the beginning of the road leading to Op Khan and another one on a bicycle just before our starting point. The hike started around 8:40 am and the total duration was about 5 1/2 hours.
We started to walk slowly on mostly flat terrain and arrived after around 20 minutes at the first water stream where we changed our shoes.
We then had to walk
about an hour in the river basin. Afterwards we changed back to the hiking
shoes and continued to walk uphill.
One of us lost the sunglasses and had to turn
back , but she could catch up with the group pretty quickly. After around 30
minutes uphill hiking,
we descended down to a
tomato farm where we stopped for a snack &water break.
We then continued to hike downhill and had to change back to our water shoes after around 15 to 20 minutes. We had to walk again in the river basin until we arrived at the open area where we changed our shoes in the morning and stopped a second time for snack break befor we were walking back to our starting point for around one hour.
After the hike, some of us went back to the city and some went to the Tuang Thong Canyon View restaurant where we had splendid food and some drinks.
Thanks to all fellow hikers for joining us !
