15 hikers arrived on Sunday morning at the 700-Year Stadium for our hike and we left at around 7:50 am. Originally we planned to park our vehicles along the street in Mae Hauw Village , but in order to shorten the hike , we were driving inside a dirt road towards the Starting point of the hike , but as the road turn out not to be too well arranged, we had to park our vehicles after around 500 meters . At around 8:50 am we started our hike and after another 500 meters 3 more hikers were waiting for us bringing the total number of hikers up to 18. We walked slowly up-and downhill with excellent weather conditions and a beautiful environment.
As the physical shape of the hike leader was severely limited , the group had to wait a couple of times for her , eating and drinking their refreshments and had therefore little left for the main lunch break after around 3 hours.
Fortunately Deurn and Pam were buying some Isaan food from a local market in the morning and hence we had enough food for everybody. Just after we finished our lunch break , a big group with motorcross bikes were passing us obviously caught off guard to run across such a big group of people in the jungle. After lunch we continued our relaxed up-and downhill hike and turned back to our starting point. Just half an hour before we arrived at our cars , we were surprised by heavy rainfall.
We went back to our cars, then to our meeting point and some of us had drinks and meals together.
