For our Hike last Sunday 23 hikers were leaving the Arboretum Car Park at 07:30 am.
We were taking a Songtao to our Starting Point , which was in Mae Nai Village near the Valley Cafe behind Doi Kamm. At 08:20 am, we started our hike walking slowly uphill with very good weather conditions, blue sky and no rain. After hiking for about 30 minutes, the trail was increasingly overgrown and we had to do some bush waking for around 20 minutes before we were coming back to the cleared trail.
This time all hikers were pretty considerate in staying together , mainly because of the difficult continuously steep rising terrain. After a 2 hours hike, we were coming to a bicycle trail where we decided to have a short break for a snack .
After the break we had to climb up another pretty steep section for around 2hours before we arrived at Phuping Palace. Once we arrived at Phuping Palace, we planned to go to the View point first ,but when we passed the restaurants and could smell the lovely food, we decided to stop for the lunch break first .
After lunch it was just an easy walk down for around 10 minutes to the View point, taking pictures and enjoying the view for another 10 minutes , then walking up back to the street where our Songtao from the morning was waiting for us bringing us back down to the Arboretum Car Park. Total time of the hike was 4 hours 14 minutes.
