15/07/26_Trip Report_Huay Tung Tao to Baan Mae Nai Circular Hike.

For our circular hike on Sunday, 16 hikers were coming to our meeting point and 2 hikers were waiting at the entrance to Huay Tung Tao.

After paying the entrance fee , we turned to the right, driving along the lake and were parking our cars close to a rice field, not far away from HTT Checkpoint.

We started the hike at 8:05 AM . The temperature was really modest, but humidity was rather high.

After we arrived at the small water stream just before Mae Nai Village, we had a small break before we started to walk uphill on the left hand side of the stream.

We had to get over some wet rocks and some narrow muddy parts of the trail, but everybody managed to climb up . After around 40 minutes walking along the stream , we turned to the left , climbing up a hill for some time and walked then on slightly rising and falling terrain for some time before we were coming back to the trail we were taking earlier that day.

We walked back towards our morning starting point and finished the hike after 3 hours 20 minutes.

We then went to one of the restaurants enjoying drinks and meals , but not for too long as a  quite strong, cool wind was coming up urging most of us to return home .

  1. Thanks again for a great hike. I have a question, can we set up a flickr or similar photo account that allows us to upload photos at a relatively high resolution into a shared folder so that we can share with each other? I would love to be able to get larger versions of these photos and happy to share mine.

I’d be happy to set one up if that helps.
