15 hikers arrived at our meeting point on Sunday morning. We were driving around 30 minutes over to our starting point at the Huay Jo Reservoir.
We had perfect weather conditions for a hike– no sun, cloudy, no rain and a nice breeze. At 8:25 am we started the hike, walked uphill for around 20 minutes before coming to a trail, then walked along the trail for half an hour before we were coming to a junction. At the junction we decided to take an easier alternative to the steep downhill walking we have done during the exploration hike a couple of days before. So we continued to walk along the trail for another 500 meters before we found a downhill shortcut bringing us to the bottom of a hill which we planned to climb up.
We started to climb up our way and continued to do so until our lunch break at around 11:30 am .
After the lunch break, the group became separated into four hikers who preferred to walk faster and the rest of the group who stayed with the hike leader and enjoyed a slower hill-walk. After lunch, the hike was less challenging, a bit up-and downhill and then continuously downhill walking back to our starting point. On our way back , we spotted a beautiful green insect ( see picture) .
Total time of the hike : Faster group 6 hours, last hikers arrived after 6 hours 50 minutes . Some of us went back home, some had drinks and some food .
