This is a rather strenuous hike taking 4-6 hours and includes some narrow paths. We start high, at an elevation of 1300 meters and continue uphill to 1700 meters at Doi Mot, and then up and down following the ridge. There are many beautiful views, making it one of the loveliest hikes available. The trail is mostly shady. We will stop on the way for a snack break and later a picnic lunch at a good view point before returning to the starting point.
This is a volunteer-led hike and you are responsible for your own safety at all times. Please read the full hike description/requirements and consider your preparedness.
If you want to join just turn up at the meeting place on the day and on time.
We cannot accommodate groups.
There is no need to let us know you are coming.
We will meet in front of Central Festival on H.118, opposite the Isuzu showroom, planning to leave at 7:30, car-pooling to the starting point at Doi Radar, about an hour’s drive. Please give your driver 100 baht to cover cost of fuel and see maps and read the advice below.
What to bring
At least 2 liters of water, snacks, a pack lunch, good hiking shoes, hiking poles if you have them, insect repellent, a hat, money for your driver, energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor.
