16/04/10 Ban Pha Nok Kok loop

This Sunday’s hike offers a bit of a change of scenery from the last few weeks.  We will be hiking mainly along farmers trails through agricultural land with some lovely views, seasonal conditions permitting.  The hike is at a relatively high altitude, starting at 1000m rising to about 1400m (a total altitude gain of around 700m) and a total distance of about 11km.  Although there is a fair amount of shade hats and sunblock are a must and do consider additional fluids too.

It should be noted that our post-hike watering hole does not serve rice or noodle dishes, only snacks so, if you want anything more substantial you will have to bring it along.

  1. Hi Peter,
Apologies if this is a silly question..
How far is it from 700 Pi stadium to Baan Pha nok? I would like to ride my bike.

  2. Hi Guys,

Same question as above. I may be able to join if the hike is not too far from town and I can get back at a reasonable time. How far from town and approximate duration of hike?

    • Hi Richard,

As per reply to Jack, about 30km out of town and the hike time 5-6hrs (but this is dependent on the group, breaks, etc.).Post-hike refreshments about an hour so, if you don’t have your own transport, allow 9hrs.

Hope to see you on Sunday
